OneCeylon is a small travel-tech company in Colombo with two real products, real customers, and — more importantly — real tourists who depend on us getting this right before their train leaves. We are hiring two people. The descriptions below are honest. The work is real, the users are waiting, and the code you write ships to the traveller in the tuk-tuk.
Build OneCeylon's first mobile app. The platform has been web-only while we found our shape — now the travellers are on the road, and they need us in their pocket. You are the first mobile hire, and the first commit is yours.
Spend six months inside SerendAI, our travel AI. Work on photo recognition for Sri Lankan food, Sinhala and Tamil sign translation, or scam detection — pick your problem. End the internship with a published byline on our notebook.
A question answered faster, a scam avoided, a train caught. The feedback loop between you and a visitor in Sigiriya is shorter than most jobs ever offer.
We ship quickly because we work deliberately, not because we work late. Sustainable pace is company policy, not a perk.
Everyone here publishes at least one engineering or research piece a year. It makes us clearer thinkers, and your résumé gets the byline.
Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family, the hardware you need without an approval chain, and a monthly book allowance nobody audits.
Email the relevant address with your CV and a short note on why this role. No cover-letter theatre.
A conversation about your work, our work, and whether the two overlap. On the phone, not a platform.
A paid, take-home exercise based on a real problem from our product. We read it carefully and send feedback either way.
You visit Colombo 05, meet the three people you will work with most, and go home with an offer or a thoughtful no.
